Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Florida Dancers handles information when you use our directory.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Florida Dancers and its public directory, including the studios and events we publish. By using the site, you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
If you contact us, request a listing correction, submit or manage a listing, or otherwise communicate with us, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details, and message.
Directory information
We publish information about businesses, events, organizers, and venues, including contact details, descriptions, hours, images, and links. Some information may be supplied by a business or organizer, publicly available sources, or our editorial review. Published listing information is public by its nature.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the site.
We also use cookieless web analytics from our hosting provider (Vercel Web Analytics) to see aggregate visits, pages viewed, and referring sites. This is not used to identify you, build a profile, or show ads. Admin pages are not included.
3. Cookies and similar storage
We use functional storage needed for the site to work. For example, administrator sign-in uses session cookies, and the optional Studio Love feature stores a device-level preference in your browser and uses a functional cookie to help prevent duplicate loves. You can control cookies through your browser, but some features may not work correctly if you block them.
We do not use the Studio Love feature to identify you or build an advertising profile. Vercel Web Analytics does not set an analytics cookie. If we introduce advertising technology or materially different cookies, we will update this policy before or when those practices begin.
4. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the directory.
- Understand aggregate visits to public pages so we can improve the directory.
- Review, publish, correct, or remove listings and submissions.
- Respond to questions, requests, and reports.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, duplicate interactions, and other misuse.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. When information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the site, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or sale. Service providers may process information on our behalf, including hosting, database, storage, security, email, and cookieless web analytics. They may use it only as needed to provide their services to us.
If you submit a matching request, we may share the request and the contact details you provide with up to three verified listings we select as a match. Those listings may contact you about your request. We do not sell matching-request lists.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Links to a third-party website are governed by that third party's privacy practices once you leave our site.
6. Your choices and requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate operational, legal, or security needs. Business owners and event organizers may also request a listing correction or removal. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
To make a request, email admin@floridadancers.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights that apply to you.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining accurate listings, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.
8. Children's privacy
Florida Dancers is a general-audience directory and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. For privacy questions, contact admin@floridadancers.com.
