South Florida Ballet Theater Inc is a nonprofit arts organization located at 4571 Sheridan St in Hollywood, Florida. Founded in 2002, the school offers ballet classes for all ages, from beginners to advanced dancers. Director Lynda DeChane studied with Ballet Mistress Trudol Pinion, Michelle Leo, and Irina Bretcher (winner of the Bronze Medal at the Varna Competition), as well as Robert Barnett, Tom Pasic, Ferdinand Nault, and Michael Maule. Since 2002, DeChane has directed and presented over 31 full-length ballet productions, including Nutcracker Ballet Suites, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, Peter and The Wolf, Cinderella Ballet, La Fille Mal Gardee, and The Dream. The school also teaches musical theater. The facility offers recitals and showcases that allow students to demonstrate their skills. Students have opportunities to perform in theater shows and professional productions.
